They act as a vital resource for school staff and may be available to make presentations or provide information on topics related to the school curriculum including: smoking, drugs and alcohol; healthy lifestyle choices; communicable and sexually transmitted infections (STIs); reproductive health; self-esteem; healthy relationships and teen pregnancy.

One-on-one health counseling is also available for students on referral from school guidance counselors. Students may also contact the Public Health Nurse directly to arrange a confidential discussion.
