There are surgical sites throughout Southern Health-Santé Sud. These sites are:
Altona Community Memorial Health Centre, Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Boundary Trails Health Centre, Carman Memorial Hospital, Portage District General Hospital, & Ste. Anne Hospital.
Surgery referrals are coordinated by the family doctor to the most appropriate surgeon.
Day surgery and inpatient surgery are offered at all sites. Some of the types of surgery offered in Southern Region include:

- Fracture repairs
- Abdominal surgery
- Cataract surgery
- Dental extractions
