Southern Health-Santé Sud is inviting local photographers to make your mark on the new regional health centre in Portage la Prairie and the capital expansion at Boundary Trails Health Centre by featuring your photography as design elements in these new facilities. A minimum of 10 photos will be selected by a panel of judges. The official contest will kick-off in fall 2023 so stay tuned for more details!
Technical Requirements
- Each submitted photograph must be in .jpg format
- Submissions should not have any visible watermarks, signatures, or personally identifiable information such as name or email address.
- Photographs taken around Portage la Prairie, Morden and Winkler and surrounding areas will be of special interest.
- Photographs may contain people but they must not be identifiable
- Photographs must be digital (no prints, slides or negatives, please) and horizontal in format.
- Digital photos must be taken & submitted in their highest-resolution format (minimum 1MB).
- Photos must be taken landscape view, not portrait view. See below.
- You may enter up to three photos.
Legal
The winning photographs will be printed and displayed throughout the new Portage Regional Health Centre and/or the Boundary Trails Health Centre. By entering this competition, all entrants must therefore grant Southern Health-Santé Sud the right to use their submitted photographs for this purpose without payment. Winning entrants will receive artist recognition by name/and or company name through the Southern Health-Santé Sud website and social media channels.
Entrants release Southern Health-Santé Sud from any liability and undertake not to prosecute or to institute proceedings, claims or demands for any remuneration, or otherwise, against Southern Health-Santé Sud in respect of any usage of their submitted photographs.
Entrants are expected to submit original photographs only. Entrants who submit photographs in which they do not own the copyright, or in respect of which they are unable to grant a valid license on the terms above, agree to pay for all costs, damages, awards, fines, penalties and losses that first direct sufferers as a result of using that photograph.
