Acute Care Visitor Restrictions

For all acute care facilities in Manitoba, visitor access is being immediately suspended.  Visitor restrictions are effective immediately.

Directors of Health Services, Program Directors (or delegates) please review and implement accordingly.

Guidelines for Screening of Manitoba Health Workers

This document includes all information that staff and managers need to know about the occupational health screening for staff. In the event patients and families have questions about the number of staff wearing masks in the workplace, the recommended message is that “Masks are part of routine infection control practices in health care. We tend to see a lot more masks in use over the winter during peak respiratory virus season to protect both patients and staff. Covid-19 is one of the respiratory viruses this season.”

Dedicated Testing Sites

An email was sent to RLT regarding Dedicated COVID-19 testing site opening in Southern Health-Santé Sud on Friday March 20th.  Directors of Health Services, Program Directors (or delegates) are asked to share with all physicians and staff.

Appropriate Stock, Storage and Use of Personal Protective Equipment

A memo has been released by Logistics & Supply Chain Management regarding the appropriate stock, storage and use of Personal Protective Equipment.  Directors of Health Services, Program Directors (or delegates) please review and implement accordingly.
