Provincial Guidance for Palliative Care Communication

Palliative Care has been described as an essential part of an integrated humanitarian response to global pandemics.  A provincial guidance document has been released to focus on the role of palliative care teams in providing information, supporting communication and symptom management.  Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to review and share with applicable staff.

Discharge Information Sheets and Form

New Discharge instructions for patients, caregivers and staff have been released.  Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to review and implement accordingly.

Return to Workplace Update for Staff

At this time, all health care staff who have been approved to work from home should continue to do so until a detailed, safe and carefully thought out return to the workplace plan has been developed, as detailed in this document.  Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to review and share this information with staff who have been approved to work from home.
