Ms. Debbi Bergner Fortier shared a YouTube video from Algonquin College describing the significance of the “Seven Generations.”  All seven figures are connected to symbolize inter-dependency. Each generation transfers knowledge, teachings and stories to the next generation. The impacts of our choices and mistakes are also passed down from generation to generation. 

Finance & Planning
The Southern Health-Santé Sud Board of Directors approved the Statement of Operations and Financial Position, as presented by the Southern Health-Santé Sud CEO/VP – Finance & Planning, for the period to September 30, 2019, which indicates a Year-to-Date operating surplus of $2.6 million.

Southern Health-Santé Sud Annual Public Meeting - October 2, 2019
The topic of this year’s Annual Public Meeting was Health System in Transformation.  The agenda featured two guests from Shared Health, Ian Shaw and Dr. Brock Wright. The provincial panel provided an update on Transformation and participated in a Q&A along with Jane Curtis, CEO of Southern Health-Santé Sud and Abe Bergen, Board Chair of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
