These eight-week sessions are free of charge to cancer patients and family members of cancer patients. During the program, you will learn and practice skills that will help you develop focus and awareness of your experience moment by moment. These skills are developed through practice in class and at home, examples include:

  • stress management, focus and concentration
  • ability to cope more effectively
  • healthy response versus impulsive reactivity
  • awareness of thoughts, feelings and physical sensations
  • awareness of habitual thinking patterns
  • ability to relax
