Well Wishes

Southern Health-Santé Sud has set up a new online tool called Well Wishes to provide family and friends with a convenient way to connect via email with residents and patients who are in a Southern Health-Santé Sud facility. Well Wishes is accessible via a link posted on the southernhealth.ca home page. To help create awareness with families:

  • Directors of Health Services (or delegates) for Personal Care Homes and Transitional Care Centres are requested to email this communication to families (Sites are to update the contact signature block) 
  • Directors of Health Services (or delegates) for Acute care sites are requested to print this communication for patients so that they can share with their respective families (Sites are to update the site contact signature block)

As messages are received through central intake, they will be vetted to the site Director of Health Services and Administrative Assistant for distribution.  Please ensure email accounts are monitored daily.

Point of Entry Staff Screening - PCH/TCC and Acute Care

A revised Point of Entry Staff Screening memo and algorithm have been released.  Directors of Health Services (or delegates) are to review, share with staff the importance of pre-screening before they are scheduled to work and implement the revised questions.

Frequently Asked Questions - N95

Two Frequently Asked Questions documents have been released one for users of N95 respirators and one for managers and human resources.  Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to review and share the appropriate document with staff and managers.
