A Review of The Personal Health Information Act - Tell Us What You Think

The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) came into force in 1997. The legislation provides a right of access of an individual to his or her personal health information. The act also protects personal health information by setting rules for the collection, use, disclosure, security and destruction of this information by public bodies and health care providers.
