Occupational therapists are health care professionals who work with infants, children, youth, adults and seniors who have experienced injury, illness, disability or developmental disability. The primary goal of occupational therapy (OT) is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life.

  • customized intervention to develop or improve your ability to perform daily activities
  • an outcomes evaluation to ensure your goals are being met and/or changes are made to your intervention plan
  • OT services may include comprehensive evaluation of your home and other environments (for example: workplace, school), recommendations for adaptive equipment or adaptation to your environment and guidance and education for your family members and caregivers
