Call to Action - April 5, 2022: Staff Screening & Return to Work, OESH Team

Staff Screening and Return to Work

Effective April 6, 2022, Health Care Workers (HCWs) are required to review the NEW COVID-19 Daily Staff Screening Tool and are expected to follow the directions on their own.

HCWs must continue to self-screen for symptoms and exposure,  but the Staff Self-Screening Declaration Forms are no longer required.
Occupational Health/Infection Prevention & Control support for screening staff is no longer required with the new process so has been discontinued.

NEW Daily Staff Screening Criteria include:

  • HCWs who have received a POSITIVE COVID-19 test result may return to work on Day 8, provided that they complete a rapid antigen test on Day 7 and receive a NEGATIVE test result.
  • HCWs who receive a POSITIVE result from their Day 7 rapid antigen test, are NOT cleared to return to work until Day 11 and must meet the additional criteria listed.

Leads (or delegates) post and/or share with staff.
